Аннотація: The article focuses on the growing anthropogenic impact of human activity on the natural environment. The index of environmental efficiency in different countries of the world, including Ukraine, has been studied. The essence of the concept of "ecological footprint" of a person is revealed and it is established that it is directly dependent on humans’ well-being and is destructive for the natural environment.
