Summary: The methodological approaches of IT project management are analyzed in the article. It is determined that today experts distinguish rigid and flexible methods of project management. Rigid management methods involve the use of classical project management methods, including a cascade model, which provides strictly consistent (over time) and one-time execution of all phases of the project with rigid (detailed) pre-planning in the context of defined one-time and specific software system requirements.
